Safeguarding

At Leigh Primary School we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff, volunteers and visitors to share this commitment.

Recently, we asked our children some questions which relate to their safety to review their responses and understanding of what makes them feel safe at Leigh but also how to keep themselves safe. This is what they said:

We will be conducting an assembly to further this discussion and remind children of appropriate actions to take as well as watch a video and have them reflect on the wealth of trusted adults they have to speak to inside and outside of school who will help them if they are ever worried, in danger, sad or confused.
