Leigh Primary School

Relationships and Sex Education

From September 2020, all primary schools are required by the government to teach Relationships and Health Education. Relationships Education is designed to help children to have positive and safe relationships with family, friends and online.

Health Education will help children to make good decisions about their health and wellbeing and enable them to know how to seek support if any health issues arise for themselves or others.

At Leigh, we deliver Relationships, Sex and Health Education using units of study provided by Kapow. We have reviewed our Personal Development Policy through parent survey, parent consultation and with the governing body to ensure that our provision means the needs of our children.

If you have any comments or questions about the policy, please email these to headteacher@leigh.kent.sch.uk   We will consider all comments and queries received.
